A plug-and-play console from AtGames, released in 2014, with 60 ColecoVision games built in and no cartridge slot.

What it is

• Emulation in a small box that connects to a modern television by ordinary AV leads.
• Two controllers shaped after the originals, with overlays in the manner of the period.
• Venture, Zaxxon, Space Panic and Jumpman Junior are among the titles.

Where it sits

• Not a clone in the sense of the Bit Corporation machines or the CV-NUC+, both catalogued here, which run real cartridges on real or reproduced hardware.
• A Flashback is a closed set of games. What it offers is convenience and price, not compatibility.
