6ft Video System Controller Extension Cord

A six-foot extension lead for a controller, from Wico - who made the Command Control joystick catalogued alongside it.

Why it was wanted

• The ColecoVision's hand controller has a five-foot coiled cable attached to it. That is a short lead for a television across a room, and it puts the player where the cable reaches rather than where the chair is.
• Extension leads for nine-pin controllers were a standard accessory across every system of the period for the same reason.

They are still made today, which says the problem was never solved at source.
