The Y-adaptor that lets a ProStick and a ColecoVision hand controller share one port.

Why it is necessary

  • A ColecoVision game takes movement from the stick and options from the twelve-key keypad. A joystick that replaces the controller therefore removes half of what the game needs.
  • A Y-adaptor keeps the keypad connected while a better stick handles the movement.

This is the problem every ColecoVision controller in this catalogue has to answer somehow: Champ Electronics built the keypad into their adapter, Grips03 wired keypads into modern pads, and Newport Controls sold the splitter. Same difficulty, three decades of answers.
