ProStick III

A third-party joystick built specifically for the ColecoVision, which most were not.

Why it fits

• A Y cable, so the console's own keypad stays connected alongside the stick. That is the problem every ColecoVision joystick has to solve, since the games take skill levels and options from the twelve-key pad.
• Two firebuttons, so games giving each button its own job play properly.
• A patented switcher, which is how the arrangement is handled.

Newport Controls made ProSticks for the Atari as well - the ProStick I is an Atari joystick - so the III is the version adapted to a console with more to accommodate. Matching Y-adaptors from the same maker are catalogued alongside it.
