A miniaturised ColecoVision - the console rebuilt into a smaller case.

Why it suits

  • Its board is mostly empty space by modern standards, so a good deal can be removed without emulating anything. The machine that comes out the other side is still real hardware.
  • Several builders have done it: doubledown's Mini CV Junior and Mini Pac-Man, Lee Krueger's Mini CV, and MyTek's CV-NUC+, which took the idea to a palm-sized production clone - all catalogued here.
