ADAM Computer (CA)

The Canadian release of Coleco's 1983 home computer. The machine is the one sold in the United States - 64K of RAM, a digital data pack drive, a detachable full-stroke keyboard, SmartWRITER in ROM, and a daisy wheel printer carrying the system's power supply - packaged for the Canadian market.

The Canadian issue

• Bilingual English and French packaging and documentation, as Canadian law required of consumer goods.
• Coleco's own roots are Canadian in part; the company maintained a Canadian arm, and several ADAM and ColecoVision items in this catalogue exist in a distinct Canadian issue.

WHAT DIFFERS INSIDE THE CARTON, if anything, is not established here. Treat the hardware as identical to the US machine until the box and manuals are compared.
