Why Australia

  • It is a PAL market a long way from CBS's European operations, with its own importer and its own packaging.
  • That distance is also why Australian issues of anything from this period are scarcer than European ones - smaller market, fewer shipped, fewer surviving.

What the module does

  • Lets a ColecoVision play Atari 2600 cartridges, being effectively a 2600 in a box, and was the subject of Atari's 1982 patent suit against Coleco - settled out of court with Coleco taking a licence.
