This modern Super Game Module-compatible expansion provides ColecoVision SGM functionality using a programmable CPLD-based design.
Unlike implementations based entirely upon fixed discrete logic, the CPLD can be reprogrammed, providing flexibility for revisions and updates to the module's internal logic.
The module was offered in both standard and Halt Switch configurations.
The optional Halt version adds a high-quality switch designed for resistance to dust, dirt and liquids. When the ColecoVision is halted, an LED indicator provides a visual indication of the system's halted state.
The standard version was announced at $29.99, while the version equipped with the Halt Switch was priced at $34.99.
At the time it was first shown publicly, production and sales were expected to begin shortly.
