Notes

A video expansion built around the Yamaha V9958, the display chip used by the MSX2+ and a direct descendant of the TMS9918A the ColecoVision and ADAM shipped with.

What it brings

  • Higher resolutions and far more colours on screen than the TMS9918A manages.
  • Hardware horizontal and vertical scrolling, which the original chip has no provision for at all.
  • More video RAM to address, up to 128K against the stock 16K.
