Boot PROM: MIB238 SmartBasic 1.0 (Rev. 79) with AJM Parallel Printer Patch

A boot PROM holding SmartBASIC for the MIB238's PROM socket, patched to print to a parallel printer.

What that changes

• SmartBASIC normally loads from a data pack, which takes minutes. From a PROM it is there when the machine starts.
• The patch redirects printing from Coleco's own daisy wheel to a parallel printer on the MIB238's port - which is faster, quieter, and does not tie the machine to a forty-year-old printer that also happens to hold its power supply.

Revision 79 of SmartBASIC 1.0 is the version carried here, and the printer patch is credited to AJM. LITTLE IS RECORDED about either the revision or the patch's author outside the ADAM community itself - which is a good reason for this catalogue to hold the detail.
