A conversion fitting MicroFox Technologies' virtual disk drive into one of the ADAM's data drive bays.

What it is

  • Storage that presents itself to the machine as disk drives while actually holding its data on modern media - the same idea as the ADE and SD-DDP emulators, from a different maker.

Why the bay

  • The ADAM's drive bays are the obvious place to put storage, and a bay conversion means the machine keeps its original appearance.
  • It also frees an expansion slot, which on this machine is always in short supply.

MicroFox Technologies is one of the ADAM's most active modern suppliers - IDE interfaces with CF card adapters, addressor cards and memory expanders are theirs - and has its own entries in this catalogue. This is Lundy's work fitting one of their drives.
