A prototype of the Special Edition ADE Pro - the top of Lundy Electronics' drive emulator range.

What the Pro does

  • Emulates up to four disk drives at once, with any combination able to be switched off so a real drive can be used alongside it.
  • Takes floppy disk images (.dsk), digital data pack images (.ddp) and ColecoVision cartridge ROMs of 32K or under.
  • Runs Sean Myers' AdamNet Drive Emulator software, which is shared openly - the hardware is what each builder contributes.

Lundy's ADE Pro Plus later combined the ADE, ADE Pro and ADE Lite into one unit, so this Special Edition sits partway along that line.
