Why a mouse

  • The ADAM's software includes work a pointer suits - and Coleco's own trackball, the Roller Controller, is heavy, scarce and a games peripheral first.
  • A modern optical mouse is precise, cheap and does not need cleaning, which no 1983 pointing device can claim.

The 2-in-1 cable

  • It carries both the mouse and a hand controller on one port, so the keypad a ColecoVision game needs stays available while the mouse is connected.
