Notes

A 64K memory card for the ADAM from MicroFox Technologies.

What 64K does

  • Takes the machine to 144K in total.
  • Gives SmartWRITER 64,000 more characters of workspace, about thirty-two pages of double-spaced text - the figure Coleco itself used to sell the original.
  • Needs no addressor card: 64K is the size the ADAM's bus was laid out for, which is why larger cards need one and this does not.

MicroFox make larger cards too - 256K, 512K and a megabyte turn up in the community's builds - along with the addressor cards those require. A 64K card remains the simplest useful upgrade the machine takes, and the only one that works with ordinary ADAM software rather than only with CP/M and T-DOS.
