The original ADAMnet Drive Emulator, published by its author as a project anyone can build - and the piece of software behind most of the ADAM drive emulators in this catalogue.

What it does

  • Runs on an Arduino Mega 2560 and presents itself to the ADAM over ADAMnet as real drives, serving disk and tape images from an SD card.
  • It replicates all the known drive commands, with no known incompatibilities - so EOS addresses it exactly as it addresses an original and no driver is needed.

Why it matters

  • Sean Myers published everything on GitHub, and the hardware around it has been built by several people since: Chris Tersteeg's shield, Lundy Electronics' ADE Lite, Mini, Pro and Pro Plus, and the internal versions in the Super ADAM builds.
