Notes

Coleco's Super Action Controllers as sold: a pair, packed with Super Action Baseball, the game they were designed around.

What is on one

  • A pistol-style grip with four trigger buttons, one under each finger.
  • A twelve-key numeric keypad on the top face.
  • A joystick, and a speed roller - a thumb wheel near the back for throttle and speed.

The shape is the thing everyone remembers: held in the hand they look like boxing gloves, and the design has a fair claim to being the most complicated controller of its generation. Super Action Boxing and Rocky were written for them too.

This is the Canadian issue, carrying the bilingual English and French packaging Canadian law required. What differs inside the carton, if anything, is not established here.
