A card giving the ADAM a Centronics parallel port - the connector every printer of the period used except the ADAM's own - with memory addressing built into the same board.

Why one card

  • The ADAM has few expansion slots, and a memory expander over 64K already wants one for its addressor.
  • Combining the two leaves a slot free, which on this machine is worth as much as the function itself.

What it buys

  • Any standard printer, in place of Coleco's daisy wheel - faster, quieter, and not carrying the system's power supply.
  • The same port serves other parallel devices the ADAM would otherwise have no way to reach.
