Notes

The addressor half of E&T Software's MegaRAM expansion - the card that lets the ADAM reach past 64K, paired with the card that actually holds the RAM.

Why it is needed

  • The ADAM's bus was laid out for a 64K expander. Larger cards need the extra addressing this one supplies.
  • Fit a 256K card without it and the machine sees 64K; the rest is there and unreachable.

It goes in slot #2, which is the slot the language cards also want - worth knowing when planning what to fit. What can actually use the memory is CP/M and T-DOS, which take the surplus as a RAM disk; ordinary ADAM software sees the base 64K plus 64K whatever is installed.
