What 64K does

  • Takes the machine to 144K in total.
  • Gives SmartWRITER 64,000 more characters of workspace, about thirty-two pages of double-spaced text.
  • Needs no addressor card: 64K is the size the ADAM's bus was laid out for, which is why the larger cards need one and this does not.

Why so many

  • It is the one expansion that helps ordinary ADAM software. Everything larger only benefits CP/M and T-DOS, which take the surplus as a RAM disk.
  • So a 64K card was the upgrade an ordinary owner actually wanted, and this catalogue holds them from Coleco, Orphanware, Micro Innovations, MicroFox, E&T and now Spectrum Electronics.
