Why a patch

• It is the form the hobby already knew. Activision's high-score patches from the early 1980s - ten of which are in this collection - made the embroidered patch the native object of video game enthusiasm.
• So a thirtieth anniversary patch is a deliberate echo rather than an arbitrary choice of merchandise.

• CollectorVision are among the most active ColecoVision publishers of the modern era, and their Phoenix FPGA console is catalogued in the hardware section.
