Why that base

• It carries a numeric keypad of its own, because Spectravideo built it for their SV-603 Coleco Game Adapter. That makes it the one third-party stick that needs no Y-adapter and no second controller.
• So a themed rebuild loses nothing, which is not true of most controller conversions in this catalogue.

Why Zaxxon

• Viking Video Games' themed range, from 2008, matched finishes to the arcade games that had ColecoVision ports. Zaxxon was among the console's landmark conversions.
