ColecoVision with Donkey Kong (AR)

The ColecoVision as sold in Argentina, by CBS-Kenia - the local arm through which CBS Electronics distributed there.

Why a local issue

• Import restrictions across South America in this period made bringing in finished electronics difficult, so local assembly and local licensing were the usual route.
• Brazil went further and produced outright clones - the Onyx and the SpliceVision, both catalogued here. Argentina got a licensed local issue instead, which is a different arrangement and worth distinguishing.

What differs

• Packaging and documentation in Spanish, and CBS-Kenia branding.
