Activision Patch: Decathlon Silver

The silver medal patch for The Activision Decathlon - the middle of the only graded award in Activision's patch programme.

How the tiers worked

• Bronze, silver and gold, according to the score reached. Every other Activision patch was a single award; Decathlon alone had three.
• All three are catalogued here, which makes this a complete graded set.

How it was earned

• Photograph the television with the score showing and post the picture to Activision, who sent the patch back with club membership.

The game is ten events of hammering a joystick as fast as it will move, so the grades measure endurance as much as skill - and cost a great many controllers their lives.
