AtGames' plug-and-play ColecoVision in the edition sold exclusively through Dollar General.
What the machine is
- 60 ColecoVision games built in, no cartridge slot, connecting to a modern television by ordinary AV leads.
- Two controllers shaped after the originals, with overlays.
Why exclusives matter
- Flashback consoles were sold through several chains, each with its own packaging and sometimes its own contents - a different game count, different overlays, a different box.
- Those differences are recorded almost nowhere. Retail-exclusive variants of cheap consumer goods are the first thing to vanish from the record, because nobody thought them worth writing down at the time.
