A ColecoVision carrying the three modifications most owners want, done together by Yurkie.
What each one fixes
- Composite A/V, because the console leaves the factory with RF only and a modern television makes a poor job of it.
- A pause switch, because a stock ColecoVision cannot stop a game at all - the usual method pulls the Z80's WAIT line low, halting the processor where it stands.
- A replacement BIOS, because every retail game sits on its title screen for twelve unskippable seconds otherwise.
Why all at once
- All three mean opening the console. Doing them in one visit is a single risk to an ageing machine rather than three.
Yurkie's later work extended to RGB, VGA and HDMI output.
