ColecoVision Composite Upgrade Board

The ColecoVision Composite Upgrade Board from OGHUGO's Retro Mod Shop is a modern internal video modification designed to provide direct composite audio/video output from an original ColecoVision console.

Composite Video Upgrade

The original ColecoVision was designed to connect to a television through an RF connection. While appropriate for televisions of the early 1980s, RF combines the console's video and audio into a television signal and generally produces a less direct picture than a dedicated composite-video connection.

The OGHUGO upgrade board provides a means of obtaining composite video and audio output directly from the ColecoVision, allowing the console to connect to televisions, monitors and video equipment equipped with conventional A/V inputs.

This can provide a cleaner and more convenient connection than relying upon the console's original RF television output.

Internal Modification

Unlike an external adapter, the Composite Upgrade Board is installed inside the ColecoVision and becomes part of the console's video-output system.
