About this game
Unreleased Atarisoft prototype of the Namco Formula 1 racing classic. The player must first qualify for the Grand Prix by completing the Qualifying Lap within 73 seconds, then race against competitors while avoiding crashes. Pole Position was the highest-grossing arcade game of 1983 and 1984 in North America. The ColecoVision version was canceled when Atarisoft pulled out of the cartridge market.
