Wild Western (Demo)

While Coleco originally advertised an official port of Taito's 1982 arcade game Wild Western before it became "vaporware" following the 1983 video game crash, the homebrew demo ROM that circulates in emulator packs was actually developed by Eduardo Mello of Opcode Games

An April Fool's Joke: Eduardo Mello originally coded the Wild Western demo as an April Fool's Day joke for retro gaming forums to trick community members into thinking a long-lost prototype cartridge from 1983 had been discovered.
