Mailcom by Digisoft is a menu-driven, interactive software package which provides access to the U.S. Postal Service's E-COM System, enabling a user to send U.S. Mail from a personal computer. Mailcom's primary function is to translate the text of a letter and a file of addresses into a file of data which can be processed by the Postal Service's computers and transformed into E-COM letters. E-COM receives mail via modem; the Postal Service then prints, stuffs, seals, and delivers the letters in less than 48 hours. The cost of the service is only 26 cents per one page letter with no additional charges for postage, paper, envelopes or mail shop services. Features include text insertion message format, common text message format, single address message format, name and address manager for small mailing lists, easy interaction with popular data management software, easy-to-use text editor, and United States Postal Service certification form. Minimum of 200 letters for each transmission.\n\nOriginal retail price: $195/$25 (Westico Professional CP/M Software Catalog for ADAM, 1984)
