Description
Andromedan aardvarks attack ten cities with 26 kinds of bombs. Their mothership glides over the cities and drops a bomb, and your radar shows which kind it is as a large blocky letter. First name the bomb by picking its letter from A to Z, then save the city by firing the gun under the bomb's column. The sooner you do both, the more the save scores. A wrong letter or a shot at the wrong city makes the bomb drop a row at once. A bomb that lands knocks one block off its city if you named it and two if you did not, and a bomb falling on a city already flattened ends the game. There are nine levels, from novice to expert, and a high score is kept.
Controls: Use either controller. Until the bomb is named, the stick moves a box over the letters and a button names it; then left and right move the gun and a button fires. On the title, up and down choose, left and right set the level, and a button starts.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, October 1983: original VIC-20 program by Todd Heimarck. The Commodore 64 version followed in November 1983; both listings were read. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
