Description
The pitcher throws one of four pitches, a fastball, a slow ball or a curve either way, and you press the button to swing, once a pitch. Where the bat meets the ball sends it left, centre or right: early swings pull it left, late ones push it right. The ball flies to a row of zones along the top, 1B, OUT, 2B, OUT, 3B, OUT, 2B, OUT, 1B, and a ball hit straight back over the pitcher's mound is a home run. A miss is a strike, three strikes are an out, and three outs end the half inning. On a hit every runner moves up as many bases as the hit is worth. PRACTICE gives 20 pitches, 1 PLAYER one inning against the computer's pitching, and 2 PLAYERS three innings, with extra innings on a tie.
Controls: Use the joystick and side buttons. The batter presses a button to swing. In a two-player game the pitcher aims with the stick (up or centre fastball, down slow ball, left or right a curve) and throws with a button. On the title, up and down choose and a button starts.
