Description

Blue and Red stand at the two ends of a walled field broken up by a random maze, each with one boomerang. Press the button to throw it the way you last moved. It flies straight, twice as fast as you walk, until it hits a wall, where it drops and lies. While it is in the air and not too far away, press again to send it off the way you now face, steering it round the maze. Walk onto your own boomerang, flying or lying, to catch it. The other player's boomerang, in the air or on the ground, knocks you out. Each hit costs a life; the counter starts at 9 and a hit at 0 ends your game. Either player may ask for a new maze. Play a friend or a computer Red.

Controls: Controller 1 plays Blue and controller 2 plays Red. The stick walks and faces, and either button throws, or sends your flying boomerang the way you face. On the title, up and down choose a line, left and right or a button change it, and a button on START begins. At the maze check, the stick toggles YES or NO and a button answers.

ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, August 1989: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). The header cites the Gazette disk for August 1989; it may be a disk-only program. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
