Description
You are the new foreman of a mine where a cave-in is coming. Explore every tunnel in a first-person view and find the trapped miners, who wait in dead ends and appear in the tunnels as you approach them. Your map shows the mine, with a circle marking the way out. When the last miner is found the cave-in begins, and you have 60 seconds, shown as they run down, to get back to the entrance before the falling rock traps you. In the advanced game the map is lost the moment the cave-in starts, so you must remember the way. The mine is a new seven by seven maze every game.
Controls: Use either joystick. Up steps forward, down steps back, and left and right turn. The button shows the map; press a button again to go back. The keypad is not used.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, January 1984, page 80: original VIC-20 program by Paul L. Bupp and Stephen P. Drop. The printed listing is headed 'for 64' but is the VIC-20 version. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
