Description

A house-building business game. You have contracted to build one to five houses, starting with $35,000 of borrowed money and $39,200 due to the bank on day 30. Each morning you hire up to nine workers at $70 a day and buy bricks, boards, shingles, pipe, wire, windows, doors and paint at the day's prices. Then the crew works, and the house rises through twelve stages, from brick foundation and chimney to the final coat of paint. Run out of a material and the crew goes home, paid for the whole day. Now and then thieves clear out your stock, or you are arrested for bribing an inspector and lose a day. Each finished house sells for $50,000. At the end your debts are paid from your cash, and the profit is your score.

Controls: Push the stick up or down to pick a line and left or right to change a value; either button acts. In the supply yard the right button sets an amount to exactly what the house still needs. Holding a button while the crew works speeds it up. Either controller works.

ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From Ahoy! 1984 (issue month not found): original Commodore 64 program by B.W. Behling. Found as CONST.CO on the unofficial Ahoy! July-December 1984 disk; the issue that printed it was not found. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
