Description
The Zirconians dive on the Earth in waves. Their raiders have no guns: they fall, drifting from side to side, and blow up where they reach the ground. Slide your cruiser along the ground and shoot them with the laser, holding the button to keep firing. Each raider shot scores 50, and each one that lands takes 10 off. Two raiders that touch both explode, for no points. A raider that blows up next to your cruiser, or rams it, destroys it. Every raider gone counts one off the attack; when an attack is over the raiders fly off and the next, longer and faster, begins. You have three cruisers. The current attack and the raiders left are always shown, and the high score is kept.
Controls: Use controller 1 or 2. Push the stick left or right to move the cruiser and press either button to fire, holding it to keep firing. A button starts the game on the title.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, December 1984: original Commodore 64 program by Tommy Graham. The 64 version was machine language; a VIC-20 BASIC version was also printed. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
