Dragon's Den

You are lost in a dragon's den, a grid of chambers seen in first person. Each chamber shows its openings to the left, ahead and right, and you can always go back. Clues such as smoke, soot, dripping water, blood or bats hint at what lies below. Some chambers have a trap door: search it and you may find nothing, water, a one-shot magic sword, gold once you hold the sword, or the rattle of scales. Then a dragon is under you: RUN through an opening at once or meet it. With the sword you slay it; without it you are eaten. Search deep enough and a trap door may be an exit: escape with your gold, or hunt on. Every step makes you thirstier, and bread marks chambers.

Controls: Push the stick left, up (ahead), right or down (back) to move; press the left button to search a trap door and the right button for a menu of CHART, MARK and CANCEL.
