Face-Off

Air hockey, seen from above. Each side has a mallet confined to its own half of the rink; the puck slides, rebounds off the boards and gradually slows until a mallet strikes it again, and where the mallet meets the puck decides the angle it flies off at. Drive the puck into the goal in the middle of the far board. Nine goals are played and the side with more wins. One player handles the blue mallet on the right against the computer's red goalie on the left, which only moves up and down to guard its goal; two players can also share the rink, red against blue. After each goal the puck is faced off on the side that let it in. Puck speed and the computer's skill are chosen on the title, and the end names the winner.

Controls: The stick moves the mallet in eight directions. In two-player games controller 1 plays blue and controller 2 plays red. On the title, push up and down to choose a line, left and right to change it, and press a button on START.
