Description

Two platoons of eight soldiers, red and blue, fight over the last forest. Players take turns: pick one of your soldiers, carry it up to its MOVE number of cells in any direction and drop it; pines and your own soldiers block the way. Drop it on an enemy and the two fight it out in an arena with five bunkers, each trooper running and shooting with its own speed, bolt speed, damage and weapon, AUTO reloading fast and SEMI slowly. Every hit takes damage off the target's strength, and at zero the trooper falls. The attacker gets 10 extra strength for the fight, and the winner takes the cell with whatever strength is left. Win by beating all eight enemy soldiers or by holding all three flagged hilltops at once. One player commands red against a computer-led blue platoon.

Controls: In one-player games either controller plays red; in two-player games controller 1 is red and controller 2 is blue. The stick moves the cursor or the trooper; either button picks up, drops or fires (hold to keep firing). Button 2 also puts a carried soldier back. On the title, push up and down to choose and press a button to start.

ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, August 1987: original Commodore 64 program by Georg Zimmer and Paul Zimmer. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
