Get the Gold

A classic dungeon adventure in two levels and 128 chambers, with monsters, cunning thieves, trap doors and eerie sound effects. You may come out rich or not come out at all. The original was split into two programs saved in sequence on cassette, one of instructions and one of game. Here one cartridge holds both, and a mini-map of the chambers you have seen sits beside a status panel.

Controls: The stick moves, fire climbs a stairway, keypad 1 shows your gold and * quits; answers are chosen on the keypad.

ColecoVision version credited in the ROM to Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a port of the published listing. From COMPUTE! magazine, December 1983, pages 132: original program by Frank Elsesser. Published for TI-99/4A. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release. Amy Studio's project documentation acknowledges AI assistance in its development tools and example cleanup; no AI credit specific to this title was found.
