Description

You fly a jet over an enemy base of ten heat-seeking missiles standing on their pads. Strafe the pads to destroy them for 50 points each, but every little while the right-most missile lifts off and chases the heat of your engine. It flies faster than you, but you turn tighter. You cannot shoot it down: dodge it, or lead it into a missile still on its pad, which blows it up for 100 points. Touching a full pad or being caught by the missile costs a ship. You earn 10 points for every stretch you survive, and when every pad is empty the base is cleared for 1000 points and a ship back. The screen wraps from side to side. One or two players take turns, with eight ships each, at NOVICE, INTERMEDIATE or EXPERT.

Controls: Use controller 1 or 2. Left and right, or up and down, turn the jet, and a side button fires; hold it for a stream of shots. On the title, push up and down to choose a line, left and right to change the skill or the number of players, and press a button to start.

ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, March 1985: original Commodore 64 program by Jeff Wolverton. The port follows the machine-language Commodore 64 version; the same issue also had a VIC-20 BASIC version. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
