Description

A stock-market trading game. One or two investors start with $1,000 each and trade in eleven mutual funds while the market runs against a time limit. Every tick one fund moves 1 to 5 points up or down, marked with an arrow and described on a ticker line. A fund that reaches 200 splits, doubling your shares and returning the price to 100; a fund that falls to 0 breaks, wiping out your shares in it. Each move pays a dividend to the fund's holders. The market pauses while a player trades, and leaving the trading screen costs some time. When time runs out the market closes and cash plus holdings is your net worth: two players see the winner, one player sees the gain or loss, and a best net worth is kept.

Controls: Use either controller. In the market a button opens that controller's player's trading screen. There, pick a fund with the stick, push right to buy and left to sell (hold to go faster), press the left button to buy as many as the cash allows and the right button to sell the whole holding. On the title, push up and down to choose a line, left and right to change the players or the time, and press a button to start.

ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, August 1988: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
