Description
A bidding card game against the computer, the game also known as Goofspiel. You hold the thirteen hearts, the computer holds the thirteen spades, and the thirteen clubs are shuffled face down. Each round one club is turned over and both players bid one card for it at the same time; the computer's bid lies face down until you have chosen. The higher bid takes the club and scores its value, ace 1 up to king 13. A tie takes nothing and the club is lost. Bid cards are spent, so a high card used now is gone for later. The game ends when a player reaches 46, more than half the points, or after the thirteenth club, and the higher score wins. The computer catches on if you keep bidding your lowest heart.
Controls: Push the joystick left and right to choose one of your hearts, and press either button to bid it or to go on.

From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, September 1986: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). A bidding card game (Goofspiel), not a martial-arts game. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
