Description
A word search where every guess counts. Ten words are hidden in a field of 20 by 15 letters, and no two words cross. Put the cursor on a letter and press the button: if it belongs to a hidden word it lights up, GOOD ANSWER, and your energy goes up by one; if not, you lose one energy and see TRY ANOTHER. Energy starts at 7 and also drains away at random moments, while now and then a CLUE names a word you have not touched yet. Light all the letters of all ten words to win and see your time. The level sets how the words run: forwards only, then backwards too, then diagonally as well. If your energy runs out, the words you missed are shown in red.
Controls: Use either controller. The stick moves the cursor and a side button marks the letter under it. On the title, push up and down to choose and press a button to start.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, February 1986: original Commodore 64 program by Ron Wilson. Amy Studio's second build of this program, released alongside the first (#108 in this collection). This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
