Marathon

You run on a grid of lanes, always moving, and the stick picks the way you turn at the next crossing. Rival runners chase you, and touching one costs a runner. Pick up the flags for points; each is worth more in later rounds, and a new one appears when one is taken. Survive a round and the next brings more or faster rivals. Every stretch you run takes a hundredth of a mile off the 26 miles to go: reach 0 and you are the greatest runner in history. Once a life, the button makes the rivals drop out for four seconds before they return at the corners. You start with three runners and gain one more every four rounds. Lose your last runner and the marathon is over. A high score is kept.

Controls: Use either controller. The stick steers and either button clears the rivals once a life. On the title, push up and down to choose and press a button to start.
