Description
An educational math adventure. In the forest, walk north to the gate, open it, go to the old house and open the milkbox: the note inside holds a math question. Answer it right and the door flies open, and a trap door drops you into the Math Dungeon, a ten-by-ten grid of rooms and hallways. Take the light first. Find the green, blue and red doors and the green and blue keys: the green door hides a map of the dungeon, the blue door hides the red key, and the red door, after one last question, is the way out. Monsters jump out of some rooms and ask a question; answer right and the monster leaves gold, answer wrong and it takes all your gold and transports you elsewhere. Your score is the gold you carry out.
Controls: Use either controller. On the title, push left and right to choose the level and press a button to start. In play the stick walks and a button acts. For questions, up and down change the answer by 1, left and right by 10, and a button answers.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, January 1985: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). One BASIC listing served both the Commodore 64 and the VIC-20; the port follows the Commodore 64 path. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
