Oil Tycoon

You are P. J. Uing, oil man. Move your rig over a column, drill down through the dirt to reach the oil and pump it: every pocket of oil joined to the end of the pipe, beside it or above it, comes out, and the deeper it lies the more it is worth. Shale wears your pipe away, a devil hiding in the oil blows the rig up, and gas may be waiting in the empty spaces you have pumped. Dynamite blasts whatever is under the pipe, but there are only a few sticks for each rig. You start with five rigs and win another for each $100,000 and one more for every field pumped dry. There are eight levels, and from level 5 the shale is hidden.

Controls: Use either joystick. Left and right move the rig, down drills and up pulls the pipe up a length. The button pumps when the pipe's end is in oil or an empty space, drops dynamite in dirt, or, with the pipe all the way up, gives up the rig for a new one. The keypad is not used.
