Description
A word puzzle for one to three players taking turns. Spin the score pointer along a strip of value cards, then pick a letter: every copy of it in the hidden puzzle turns over and scores the card's value times your bonus factor. A right letter raises the bonus factor and keeps your turn. A letter not in the puzzle resets the factor and passes play. X loses the turn and ! loses the round score. Once you have a letter right you may solve instead, by picking the hidden letters in order; solving banks your round score, and a wrong answer costs 10 points. Puzzles come in five categories: phrase, place, person, name and object. First to the chosen goal wins. A solo game is eight puzzles with five misses allowed per puzzle.
Controls: Use either controller; players share it or pass it. On the title, up and down choose a line, left and right change it, and a button starts. In play, left and right choose SPIN or SOLVE and a button confirms; the stick moves the box on the alphabet and a button picks.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, February 1987: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). One listing serves the Commodore 64 and 128. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
