Description
Pocket billiards with a cue ball and six coloured balls racked in a triangle. Move the aiming ring with the stick: the cue ball is sent toward the ring, and the farther the ring, the harder the shot. Press a button to shoot. Balls roll, collide and slow down naturally, bounce off the rails, and drop into the four corner and two side pockets. Sinking the cue ball, or touching no ball at all, is a foul: one of your sunk balls returns to the table and the next shot is taken with the cue ball in hand behind the head string. Alone, sink every ball in as few shots as you can for a rank of PRO, POOL SHARK, AMATEUR or NOVICE. With two players, sinking a ball earns another shot, and whoever sinks more balls wins.
Controls: The stick moves the aiming ring, faster after a moment, and either button shoots. With the cue ball in hand, the stick moves it behind the head string and a button sets it down. Two players share controller 1 or take turns with controllers 1 and 2.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, April 1985: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). The Commodore 64 version is machine language; the same disk has a separate VIC-20 BASIC version. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
