Description
Matching pennies against a machine that learns. Before each move the computer makes its prediction, LEFT or RIGHT, and keeps it hidden. Then you make your move. If the prediction matches, the computer scores; if not, you do. First to 100 wins. The computer remembers your last four moves and keeps a tally for each pattern, so habits and repeated sequences are soon read; repeating one move always loses. Its memory carries over from game to game until the console is switched off. A strip shows the last 14 rounds, red when you scored and blue when the computer guessed you.
Controls: Use either controller. Push the stick left or right and let it return to the middle before the next move. A button starts the game from the title.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, June 1986 (Issue 36), page 58: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). The Gazette listing served the Commodore 64 and VIC-20; the port followed the 64's machine code. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
