Description
A pod hides behind a wall of coloured cells on the left and rides up and down. Each time it turns it may release an orb. Orbs bounce all over the screen, and when one lines up with your ship across or down, it fires a missile straight at you. Turn your ship through eight headings, thrust, and shoot: each shot knocks one cell out of the wall. The wall's columns keep rolling, even ones up and odd ones down, so the holes move. Touching the wall, the pod, an orb or a missile costs a ship. Shoot the pod through a gap for 2100 points to clear the level. Walls grow wider and orbs more numerous with the levels. Three ships, plus an extra every 10,000 points.
Controls: Use controller 1 or 2. Push left and right to turn the ship, up to thrust and down to brake; either button fires. On the title, up and down choose and a button selects.
ColecoVision version credited in the source to Claude (an AI made by Anthropic) for Amy Studio, in Amy, the language by Amy Bienvenu, 2026: a reimagined adaptation of the published rules. From COMPUTE!'s Gazette, November 1988: original Commodore 64 program (no author named in the issue). The listing says the game is based on a 1981 Atari game, used with permission; this version uses none of that game's names, characters or pictures. This is a modern homebrew adaptation, not a commercial Coleco release.
